Fear not. Easier said then done. But when you're afraid, then think. Is your fear logical? Is a watermelon really a timebomb? :-P Nevermind. But nonetheless, Think. Accidents rarely kill. So what if your canoe sinks? In fact, on Friday, a 10 man WAR CANOE sank offshore. The unhappy crew towed it back to land. After they got it back, they started rolling with laughter. But. Humans are incredibly tough to kill. So what if you fall into the water? Sure. It's dark. It's wet. Of course. But the worst you can get is usually a broken leg. It's funny. You can break your arm by falling off the monkey bars, or on a mountain climbing exercise. Accidents will happen no matter what. So you may as well take em on!
Think: I WILL BE FINE. That can get you through being lost, extreme pain, ETC. Romans 8:28 says: "And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him."
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
I mean, how could you die from a capsized canoe? You're wearing a life vest.
So be brave. Be strong.
