News: Scouts: FAIL Scout
"Heartwarming" Story. So. This scout gets lost and builds a shelter to survive. Smart guy, right? Well, read the story again.
BTW I love these reporters who can't tell that branches and wood are the same thing. :P
"He built a shelter made of tree branches and wood to get through a cold night and he also covered himself in dirt to stay warm."
He had no buddy. Bam. The whole reason he got lost.
Anyways, first, HE DID NOT HAVE THE TEN ESSENTIALS!!! He would not have lasted another day. He had no: Water, food/snack, no extra clothing.
He broke all the rules of Wilderness Survival. When lost, you should STAY PUT. Searchers will search systematically, so if you're moving, chances are that you could go in circles for days. Also, walking takes ENERGY. No food, no water, no more energy. 10 mile hike? Not happening twice.
True, he did build a shelter. That is good.
Bottom line, stay put. Stay calm. NEVER WALK OUT BY YOURSELF. Always bring a backpack with water and gear. Real troops wear backpacks.
Ask your brother to get the Wilderness Survival Pamphlet from the troop library. Great book.

Scouts: Merit Badges!!!
Yay!!! I have my new merit badges from camp!! :-)
The badges are very special to any scout because each badge is an experience.
For Fishing. I went fishing in a 20 by 10 pool and didn't catch anything. Wilderness Survival. I slept out in a improvised shelter with a wild fox roaming.
Anyways, This is just an update mostly. :-)
I have the Citizenship in The World, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the Community, Fingerprinting, Canoeing, First Aid, Swimming, Lifesaving, Wilderness Survival, Communications, Small Boat Sailing, and Fishing.
Yea. :-)

YAY!
HI GUYS! Just got back from camp. :-)
IT WAS AWSOME. I don't have much time, so I'll write a full summary later. :-)
I went shotgun shooting!!! :-) and rifle shooting. Lots of fun and "all that other good stuff."
I took Wilderness Survival, Communications, and Sailing.
Yea.. More later. :-)

Please Pray
Hey ya'll. Scout summer camp is later today. 1 week. 1 island. 1 awesome adventure.
However, this "awesome adventure" started the previous day. As I was alking to the bathroom, I fell and heard a pop. Damage assessment: Toe hurts, toe hurt, toe hurt. :-(
It was dark, but I felt the bleeding. I hobbled downstairs and washed and bandaged the wounded toe. However, the wound was concave and a bandage didn't help. Anyways, please keep me and my toe in your prayers as we're going to camp soon. See ya in a week! :-)

I'm not much of a drawing person, but anyways... WAHHHH!H!H!H! :'( :'(
I sent out an email asking everyone to try and make one, but I doubt anyone will comply. :-( So... wish me luck. :-)

Summa camp!
I'm going to summer camp this coming week! I have to draw a patrol flag on a shirt. :-( You see, it's on an island. So we're going to have to bring our flag,and then make the pole out of sticks we find. :-) Update later. :-)
